In the formative years since 1997, the Seminary was functioning under a different name in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, South India in rented facilities. Later on, during the years between 2001 and 2013 the Institution was supported by Rev. Dr. Bae Jin Gi, The Senior Pastor of Pohang AG Church and the Superintendent of AG Churches in South Korea. In 2008, with the help of some Pochang Church members we bought five acres of land behind the Pondicherry University and established this full-fledged training centre at a place where there is no other such Theological Institution. In 2014, this Seminary has been affiliated with the Tamil District Council of SIAG and is being financially supported consistently by the Council as well as Rev. Dr. Abraham Thomas, Superintendent/Senior Pastor of Anna Nagar Assembly of God Church, Chennai.
