Doctrinal Beliefs

Beliefs

We believe in biblical truth and affirm the supremacy of Christ in all areas of life. The following beliefs exist at the core of who we are.

The Bible is the infallible, authoritative, inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

God exists eternally as three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; Deuteronomy 6:4).

Jesus is the eternal Son of God, truly God and truly man (Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 7:26).

Humanity was created good but voluntarily sinned, causing spiritual separation from God (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 5:12).

Salvation is received through repentance and faith in Jesus' blood (Luke 24:47; Titus 3:5-7).

Water baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper are mandatory practices (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:26).

A special experience empowering believers for witnessing and service (Acts 1:4, 8; Luke 24:49).

Speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4; 1 Corinthians 12:4-10).

An act of separation from evil and dedication to God, both instantaneous and progressive (Romans 12:1-2; Hebrews 12:14).

The church is the body of Christ, on a mission to worship, build, and evangelize the world (Ephesians 1:22-23; Matthew 28:19).

A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry is provided by God to lead the church (Mark 16:15-20; Ephesians 4:11).

Provided in the atonement, healing is a privilege for all believers (Isaiah 53:4-5; James 5:14-16).

The imminent, personal return of Jesus for His believers (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:13).

Jesus will return with His saints to reign on earth for 1,000 years (Zechariah 14:5; Revelation 20:1-6).

A final judgment of the wicked will occur, resulting in eternal punishment (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:11-15).

Believers will live eternally in a new creation with God (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21-22).
